My trip to Cat Island Lodge was the total package-the perfect blend of true wilderness adventure and profound, restorative relaxation. If you're looking for an escape that recharges you on every level, this is it. The action on the water was simply spectacular. The fishing for Lake Trout, Northern Pike, and Walleye was non-stop, and our guide knew exactly where to find them. A major highlight was the daily shore lunch, giving us an authentic taste of our catch right in the heart of the Canadian wilderness. This is more than a vacation; it's a reset button. I must emphasize that you do not need to be a serious angler to fall in love with this experience. For anyone looking to find both adventure and tranquility, Cat Island Lodge is an unforgettable destination. I cannot recommend it highly enough and am already planning my return.

My wife and I have been on several dozen fishing trips all over North and Central America, from Alaska to Guatemala and everywhere in between. Cat Island Lodge was definitely one of the most enjoyable places we've been. From the minute we arrived to the minute we left we felt welcome and at home. The fishing was off the chart crazy. We have never caught so many nice fish, in three days we caught close to 600 fish with several fish per day close to trophy size and did get 1 trophy class pike at 42 inches. Our guide Darrell was kind of a dick but we love that douche bag anyways, and will request him again when we go back. As for the food, Gordon Ramsey ain't got nothing on Sheila and Amanda. Every meal was prepared and served like we were at a 5 star restaurant in Park City. As for the owners you will never meet more down to earth, friendly, helpful, and accommodating people. From the first day we booked the trip they responded to all my inquiries, helped with logistics, and most importantly helped with getting beer and wine to the lodge. To sum it all up we left cat island lodge with newly found friends, saddened hearts, and a longing to return as soon as possible.
